
Famed Creative Lead and Studio Head, Hideo Kojima, will be the keynote speaker at GDC’s revamped 2026 show. His address will focus on reflecting on himself.

GDC, *formerly the Game Developers Conference, will have famed video game auteur Hideo Kojima as the keynote speaker. His address will see Mr. Kojima “reflect on the studio’s journey and share his insights into building a studio, developing projects, establishing a brand, and connecting with fans, all from the perspective of an independent creator.”
GDC’s rebranded Festival of Gaming will take place between March 9th & 13th, 2026. Mr. Kojima’s keynote address will take place on March 12th at 9 AM PST. He heads Kojima Productions which recently released Death Stranding 2 on PlayStation back in June of 2025. The game received rave reviews and has recently been rated for PC by the ESRB.
Kojima Productions’ next title is titled OD, featuring Kojima, Jordan Peele, and other directors making their own horror-focused experiences. It is published by Xbox Game Studios and should be available in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
