Later this week, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 1 begins, and there a new battlepass to get to grips with, in both a standard and ‘premium’ version. Activision have shared a bunch of additional information as the Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 1 Battlepass is detailed in full.

Over on the Call of Duty Blog, the team have broken down everything that’s coming to this Season 1 Battlepass, which delivers 100+ rewards, including things like base weapons, an entirely new operator and a whole heap of weapon skins, blueprints, calling cards and more.
While a lot of this content is free to unlock – including the new base weapon – you can of course upgrade your Battlepass experience for 1,100 ‘COD’ Points – and then earn 1,100 ‘COD’ Points back as you progress through.

Per Activision “As you earn more Tokens and claim more Battle Pass rewards, you will gain access to additional Pages. Each new Page requires reaching a certain threshold of claimed rewards before it unlocks. Hover over any locked Page to view how many additional rewards are needed to unlock the Page and its content.“
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 1 Battlepass Improvements
Not content to ‘just do a Battlepass’, the Black Ops 7 team are bringing a number of ‘improvements’ to the longstanding battlepass system in Call of Duty for the first time. Expect adjustments to unlock timing, shorter intial pages to complete and more. Here’s the full details, direct from Activision:
- Unlock Timing: The team has taken learnings from Black Ops 6’s Battle Pass completion times and made tuning adjustments for a more satisfying journey. The result: each season’s Battle Pass in Black Ops 7 will be more rewarding for your time spent in-game, no matter where you’re playing across all parts of the game.
- Shorter Initial Pages: Earlier pages in the Black Ops 7 Battle Pass can now be completed faster with fewer tiers needed to unlock HVT content at the end of the page, while later pages in the Battle Pass will contain more rewards. This means players will earn more high-value content sooner across all 100 tiers.
- Battle Pass Tokens via Daily Challenges: For the first time, players will have the ability to earn Battle Pass Tokens through completing Daily Challenges, which are now available not only in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Call of Duty: Warzone, but also Co-Op Campaign and Endgame (another first!) On certain days in the season, completion of your bonus Daily Challenge will grant you a Battle Pass Token, which can be used right away.
Despite a weaker campaign, the overall package this year is massive, and very well made, with tons of things to do across a co-operative campaign, endgame, multiplayer and zombie modes. For our massive, and very detailed review, go check out our full thoughts here, but in a nutshell?
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is an absolute riot. It’s not afraid to rely on copious amounts of nostalgia, while also pushing the series forward in the most logical direction. Treyarch have looked back at Black Ops 2 and 3 for inspiration, and have delivered a fantastic Call of Duty, full to the brim of incredible content.“
