Code Vein 2 is releasing early next year, January 30th and we’re all excited to really get it in our hands. The sequel to the cult favourite “anime souls”, Code Vein, this second game looks to be expanding on what worked best. So we know when we’ll be able to purchase the game, but for all those who are already subbed to Xbox Game Pass, there’s always one question. Is it releasing on the service? Keep reading to find out!
While it doesn’t seem to be a direct sequel, story wise, of the first game, Code Vein 2 is bringing us another “anime souls” to play, but this time with more weapons, more bosses, more dungeons, and well, just more. I previewed the game after seeing a hands-off demonstration this last June, and this is what I had to say:
Bandai Namco showed enough to keep my excitement going strong as someone who very much enjoyed the first game. They’ve shown that they know what the strengths and the weaknesses were and aim to improve the former while limiting the latter, which is always the best part of video game sequels. If you were a fan of the first game or if you simply like the genre, Code Vein 2 is looking to be a game to keep your eyes on. Of course, keep checking in here at Xbox Era as we’ll surely cover the game and provide more information when we can.
Now let’s see if Code Vein 2 is releasing day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Is CODE VEIN 2 on Xbox Game Pass?
Unfortunately, Code Vein 2 is not releasing on Xbox Game Pass day one. This means every tier in the service, at least for now, as you never know what may change. The game, however, is releasing on the Xbox platform, (alongside PS5 and PC.) You’ll need to purchase the game on Xbox, PS5, Steam or another PC game store if you want to experience the full extent of this souls-like, including riding a really fancy looking motorbike! While this is a little disappointing, the first game did eventually come to the service for a little while, so that may always happen again with the sequel. Be sure to keep an eye out on our channel for coverage of the game when it does come out though!
