At long last, a feature that’s been long requested by Xbox fans – and especially cloud users – has finally arrived. In a new update now available for the Xbox Fullscreen Experience, you’ll now see information on your cloud save – and whether it’s been successful – on the Xbox network.

In a welcome move, the Xbox Fullscreen Experience (FSE) now shows your current save data status on the Xbox Cloud network. If you have played a game on a different device it shows “New save available”. When you open the game up, it will now ‘sync up’ and pull the new cloud save in. When you close your game down, it’ll then show exactly when your save data was uploaded.
While Xbox cloud saves – and the way they work – are some of the best in the business, this is a massive improvement on what we had previously. As Xbox users increasingly utilise various devices, having this sort of detail is very much appreciated.
What is the Xbox Full Screen Experience?
If you keep hearing the phrase “Xbox Full Screen Experience” and wonder what the hell that actually is, the nutshell is this – it’s a controller-navigable UI for playing your Xbox games on the go, but it also launches with several Windows processes disabled, meaning better performance for games. The first device to ship with it was of course the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X. You can read more about our thoughts on this ‘Xbox Handheld’ right here.
