EA and BF studios have made the announcement that Battlefield 6 will be available free to try out from today, November 25th at 4am PT / 7am ET / 12pm GMT right up until December 2nd at 4am PT / 7am ET / 12pm GMT. This is the first time that the main title has been available at no cost, so now is the time to try it out as the Battlefield 6 Multiplayer is free-to-play on Xbox until December 2nd.
The multiplayer mode of the game will be free on all platforms for the next week, in a bid to encourage more players into the Battlefield experience. There will be four game modes available: Breakthrough, Sabotage, Conquest and Team Deathmatch, and three maps (Siege of Cairo, Eastwood and Blackwell Fields).
Of course, Battlefield already has it’s own free-to-play Battle Royale with REDSEC that launched last month. You can read more about that here.
We reviewed the Battlefield 6 campaign at launch and had this to say about it:
“In short, Battlefield 6‘s multiplayer is the most Battlefield-coded entry in the franchise in many years, taking us back to the series’ glory days. Tight gunplay, excellent presentation, impressive polish and a surprisingly robust launch arsenal. All that in service of a shooter that is quite safe in its intents, but one that offers all sort of exhilarating “only in Battlefield” moments that just beg to captured for a clip to share. Battlefield is back, and we’re set to stick to this digital warfare for months to come.“
