‘Wuthering Waves’ Version 2.8 “To the City Set in Amber” Now Live

This week, developer Kuro Games announced that Version 2.8 for their free-to-play open-world action-adventure game ‘Wuthering Waves’ is now live across PC, PlayStation, and mobile platforms. Dubbed “To the City Set in Amber”, Version 2.8 brings about new quests, fresh story content, powerful Echoes, a new Tactical Hologram challenge, and a variety of limited-time events.

Version 2.8 includes:

  • Story Additions
    • Two Main Quests, Chapter II Act XII: Stagnant Dawn on Wastelands and Chapter II Segue: Flowing Starlight in the Iris, advance the ongoing story with additional missions and lore developments.
  • Upcoming Featured Resonator Convenes
    • Version 2.8 introduces two limited-time Resonator Convene phases, each featuring themed content tied to the latest chapter of Wuthering Waves and offering players the opportunity to recruit new Resonators:
      • Phase I: Horizon of Dawnbreak and With Hushed Whispers
      • Phase II: Requiem Without End and Neptune’s Lullaby
  • Echoes and Phantom Echo
    • Echo additions include Nightmare: Baby Roseshroom, Nightmare: Tick Tack, and Nightmare: Dwarf Cassowary. A Phantom Echo, The False Sovereign, offers a challenging high-level encounter.
  • Sonata Effect
    • Thread of Severed Fate expands build options with a three-piece set that inflicts Havoc Bane, increasing a Resonator’s ATK by 20 percent and granting a 30 percent Resonance Liberation damage bonus for five seconds.
  • Outfits
    • Zani’s deluxe outfit, Downtown Repose, debuts in Version 2.8, offering a refreshed look for the disciplined Averardo Bank professional.
  • Tactical Hologram Challenge
    • Players can take on a Tactical Hologram encounter featuring The False Sovereign.

Wuthering Waves can be played on PC via Steam/Epic Games Store/Official Client, Mac OS/iOS via the App Store, Android via Google Play, PlayStation 5 consoles, and the game is fully compatible with the Steam Deck.
