A remake of the classic title Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag has been talked about for a long time, but never confirmed by Ubisoft. Black Flag is generally considered as one of the finest in the huge franchise and now per a report over at Insider Gaming, the Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake is to launch before March 31st 2026.

According to the article from Insider Gaming, Ubisoft have finally published a financial update showing titles that are due for release before the end of the next financial year. Along with games such as Anno 117: Pax Romana and The Division: Resurgence there is a space on the deck for an ‘unannounced title’ which is believed to be the long-awaited remake. Per the report “Insider Gaming understands that this blanked-out game is the yet-to-be announced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, which is scheduled to release the week of March 23rd.“
The title has not been officially announced but according to Insider Gaming who have reported on it over the last 18 months, it is definitely on its way and would be “more RPG heavy”.
We reported on the proposed remake back in January of this year after information regarding the game was leaked to mp1st. The title is described as follows ““It is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established a lawless Republic. Among these outlaws is a fearsome young captain named Edward Kenway. His exploits earn the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but draw him into an ancient war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.”
It is also due to have various system upgrades and not just be a visual and graphical remake.
