The latest title from Oro Interactive was showcased this evening at the Xbox Partner Preview. Fancy a game where aliens wearing paper masks attempt to run a gas station? Then check out Roadside Research, a co-op simulator which is coming to Xbox Game Pass next year in Early Access.
Since the game was revealed earlier this year, over 400,000 people have added it to their Steam wishlist and 600,000 people have demo-ed it too. Per the team at Oro Interactive “Roadside Research is a 1 to 4 player co-op gas station simulator. Except you’re aliens. And undercover. Do very human things like restocking shelves while preparing for the invasion. Just don’t get caught. Refuel cars, stock shelves, and mop up goo while avoiding the suspicion of government agents who are a little too curious about your “human” disguise. Between shifts, you’ll upgrade both your gas station and your hidden alien base to get one step closer to invasion.
What players can expect:
Xbox Cross-Play: Play together across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC.*
* Note: Cross-play is not supported between Xbox PC and the Steam version.
Chaotic Solo or Co-op Play: Run the station alone or team up with up to four players.
Two Progression Paths: Upgrade both your gas station and your alien research base.
Oddly Satisfying Simulation: Restock, fuel, clean, and expand while staying undercover.
Alien Deception: Keep your disguise intact or risk being exposed and turned into goo.
Roadside Research is launching into Early Access at the start of 2026 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass.
