During today’s Xbox Partner Preview, we got a fresh new gameplay trailer for Eclipse Glow Games‘ ‘Tides of Annihilation‘, which is now an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This new four-minute gameplay trailer offers the deepest look yet at the game’s intense, spectral combat system featuring three playable Knights and the monumental scale of its uniquely strange world.
Shifting the action from the ruins of London to the mysterious Otherworld realm of Avalon in an Inception-esque sequence, the cinematic-styled gameplay video captured with in-game footage offers the first detailed look at the Dual Frontline Battle system and the Mirror Realm, a fractured world split into mirror realities. The visceral, stunning action comes to an epic climax as both Gwendolyn and Lamorak – a special ally in this particular fight – shift in-and-out of the mirror realm to deliver powerful attacks against the shape-shifting boss Tyronoe, showcasing the ability to control two characters in this major boss battle.
One of the key unique features of the game is the Knights System where Gwendolyn can summon and command spectral knights to attack during battle. Part of this Knights System is being revealed for the first time in the new trailer called the Dual Frontline Battle System. This system shows the ability to control both Gwendolyn and Lamorak to simultaneously attack Tyronoe and break down her magical barriers.
Tides of Annihilation is set in London, but one that has been utterly destroyed by an apocalyptic invasion and a mysterious grey fog. You’ll play as lone survivor Gwendolyn, who discovers that she has the ability to command the legendary Knights of the Round Table. She sets out on a quest to save her sister – and gain revenge! Wishlisting is now available across all platforms and no release date has been mentioned at this time.
