This week, developer Studio Wildcard announced that their latest creature “Ossidon” has joined their ongoing survival title ‘ARK: Survival Ascended’ as part of the paid “Lost Colony Expansion Pass” that is available across PC via Steam/Xbox PC, Xbox Series (Play Anywhere supported), and PlayStation 5 consoles.
In ARK, the Ossidon is a hulking, engineered freak of an apex winter-predator built to dominate the frozen wastes of Arat Prime. Armed with cryogenic mucus and pure brute force, the Ossidon serves as a living symbol of raw endurance and elemental might. Starting today, players can find the creature temporarily roaming in cold biomes across Ragnarok, Valguero, and The Center until the Lost Colony map arrives on 16 December.
Have a gander below for the rest of the details. ARK: Survival Ascended is also available on Xbox Game Pass (with cloud gaming support enabled).
ARK: Lost Colony directly connects the storylines of ARK’s Extinction and Genesis, setting the stage for the events of ARK 2. The expansion features the voice talents of Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once) reprising her ARK: The Animated Series role as Mei Yin, Madeleine Madden (Wheel of Time) as Helena Walker, Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) as Meeka, along with Katie Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as Diana Altaras, David Tennant (Doctor Who) as Edmund Rockwell, and Keith David (The Princess And The Frog) as new villain The Lost King.
Lost Colony drops survivors into a vast occupied city where they become the hunted, gaining access to powerful new kinds of character abilities, unique gear, building systems, and exotic tames. Will Survivors be able to face down the demons lurking in Arat Prime, and connect ARK’s past and future? Players can find out when ARK: Lost Colony launches December 16.
Buy the Lost Colony Expansion Pass ($29.99) now to unlock exclusive ARK: Lost Colony preview gameplay content, including the new Ossidon creature, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.
