As we continue our journey of survival in what is the turbulent video game media industry, we do like to show just how much more content this community funded publication produces every week. We also like to underline why it’s so important to keep independent media alive in an industry where most outlets are owned by three or four massive companies. Hence our new feature, which goes live every Sunday. In ‘This Week on XboxEra’ we’ll give you a look at the week ahead on XboxEra.com, from our many reviews, interviews, previews and Patreon exclusive content.
You know the drill by now. Every week, we’ll be laying out exactly what we’re up to, from new features, interviews, previews and of course, in-depth reviews of the latest games. While we’ll never share specifically embargoed details for say things like game reviews, we will give an indication that a review – or multiple reviews – will drop on a specific day.
The point here, especially for our community is to set expectations, and for us, the make sure what we’re doing is consistent and of the high-quality our readers have come to expect. We know that plenty out there see our art, our website, and assume we’re some massive, well funded business – we’re not. We just like to do everything better than everyone else as much as humanly possible.
Outside of website content, the community can and should expect a number of ad-hoc livestreams, like Patreon Peeps (Exclusive to Patrons), Liminal with Lucy or Hangouts.
As always, we also want to really underline who this is for; the people that are supporting us directly, month in, month out. Our community and our Patrons mean everything to us, so we’ll be detailing when they can expect exclusive content and how often. Working with our community is of the utmost importance to us – let us know what works, what you want more detail on. And we’ll continue to improve and grow.
