Ubisoft Connect turns five years old this year, and to celebrate the milestone anniversary, the team are currently giving away copies of the classic title Immortals Fenyx Rising. The ecosystem is the home for all things Ubisoft, providing players with a way to engage and share their gaming experiences. Ubisoft Connect has become super successful since its launch and now to say thank you for all the support, Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising is currently free to own on PC.
The team at Ubisoft have shared a post detailing how the platform has progressed since it started. Per the team “From day one, our goal has been to create a seamless experience for all of you – no matter where or how you play. Over the years, Ubisoft Connect has contributed to major changes in the way you play your games:
- Cross-progression, introduced in November 2020 with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, letting you continue your journey seamlessly across devices, and now available on many Ubisoft titles.
- Cross-play, also introduced in 2020 and adopted by our flagship title Rainbow Six Siege in 2022 is now available across our main multiplayer games – making it easier than ever to play with your friends no matter where they play.
- Cross-platform achievements, introduced this year on PC with Assassin’s Creed Shadows and now on more than 50 Ubisoft Games. Achievements now synchronize across Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and The Epic Games Store.
On the PC side, a clearer and more intuitive UI was introduced with our redesigned PC client, which is now officially out of beta.“
They followed up by stating that from November 13th right up until December 2nd, Immortals Fenyx Rising will be free to claim on the Ubisoft Store – and once you have claimed your copy, it will remain in your library permanently, even after the promotion has ended.
We reviewed Immortals Fenyx Rising back when it first released and our reviews editor Jesse summed up his thoughts by saying “It is funny, a blast to play, beautiful, and has some of the best music in any video game. The mix of puzzles, combat, and exploration is simply sublime and you would be doing yourself a disservice not giving it a try.“
