If you’ve got a passing interest in game design, then this is for you. Double Fine productions have released another video documentary for you to check out – a cool ‘The Making of Keeper’ Behind-The-Scenes video. Check it out!
Per the folks at Double Fine Productions, “Go behind the scenes for the surprisingly smooth, not at all dramatic development of Double Fine’s Keeper! No insider trading, shaky team morale, or risks of studio closure. At least that’s what Lee said when we asked him. He looked a little nervous, though.“
It’s a great half hour long watch, and tells the story of where the game’s themes and ideas came from, and was something developer Lee Petty and his team started working on after shipping RAD. However, there was a slight pause as the team was pulled away from the project to help all of Double Fine ship Psychonauts 2. If you’re fan of the game and are interested in how these amazing things get made, you should absolutely give this one a watch.
I adored Keeper on release, and I’m of the opinion it’s one of Double Fine’s best games. In my review, I said “I laughed, I gasped in shock, and I beamed as brilliantly as a lighthouse. Double Fine have made a lovely game here, one that throws in the sorts of surprises that only this medium can achieve.“
Keeper is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC and Steam, and of course available on Xbox Game Pass.
