A new update for ARC Raiders which is introducing a whole new area to the game is launching tomorrow (November 13th) at 1.30am PT (4.30am ET / 9.30am GMT / 10.30am CET). The team behind what has now been recognised as the top-rated extraction shooter of all time have also confirmed two new enemies, new playstyles and lots more new features as the ARC Raiders new map, Stella Montis goes live tomorrow.
The new update is named ‘North Line’ and will be launched during a community event entitled Breaking New Ground. Per the team “The new Stella Montis map invites Raiders to explore abandoned structures that remain eerily pristine compared to the wrecks of the Rust Belt. Cold, sterile, and steeped in mystery, these ruins hint at what humanity left behind in its push toward the stars, challenging players to uncover the truth buried within.
Raiders who complete its challenges will recover rare resources, new gameplay items, and potential weapon blueprints hidden in the ruins, revealing the next step in the struggle to reclaim the surface.
Access to Stella Montis must first be earned — the tunnels leading to the new region will only open once the global community completes Breaking New Ground.“
New Stuff!
There have been two new enemies confirmed for the update by Embark Studios; The Matriarch – who will appear only during certain circumstances during play, and The Shredder who will occur solely in Stella Montis. There will be new weapons – an energy burst battle rifle, and a new set of mines to help you when you take on the new ARCs. Alongside these will be new play styles and quests.
After this update, the next is due to follow in December and is aptly named ‘Cold Snap’.
