Is Dispatch coming to Xbox Consoles?

Super Dysfunctional

From developers AdHoc, superhero workplace comedy Dispatch is out now on Steam and PlayStation, and is proving to be received rather well indeed. While that’s all well and good for those gamers, what about you? Is Dispatch coming to Xbox?

If you’re wondering what Dispatch is, think along the lines of classic narrative adventure games like Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, and you’ll have the right idea. In fact, it happens to have the some of the same writers and directors of both of those games, so go figure!

Per the developers, “Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy where choices matter. Manage a dysfunctional team of misfit heroes and strategize who to send to emergencies around the city, all while balancing office politics, personal relationships, and your own quest to become a hero.

You play as Robert Robertson, who is actually superhero ‘MechaMan’. Your mech suit was destroyed in a battle against the games main villain, and now you’ve been forced to take a job dispatching others to prevent crime. Again, per the developers, you’ll be in charge of “rehabilitating a group of ex-supervillains, and must manage your roster while navigating office relationships and rebuilding your suit for a shot at revenge.

Okay, but is Dispatch coming to Xbox Consoles?

As of right now, Dispatch is only available on PC and PlayStation 5. The nice folks at Insider Gaming interviewed AdHoc’s Narrative Director Pierre Shorette, they shared the following when asked why just a PC and PlayStation 5 release, saying “Yeah, I mean PC is always a given. I think PlayStation is also just a place that I think maybe we associate with good storytelling more so than maybe some other platforms. That’s not going to say that we’re not going to eventually come out on those platforms, but there’s certainly a ubiquity to a good single player storytelling experience that I think I associate with PlayStation.

So there you have it! Nothing is certain, but maybe at some point in the near future, your hopes that Dispatch coming to Xbox may come true after all.

  1. I really hope it comes to Xbox I’ve watched walkthroughs and lets plays of the game and it looks super cool

  3. I’m a PS5 player, and I think this game is amazing, but saying that you associate good storytelling more with PS5 is a weird thing to say. Like yea, it has some nice exclusives, but it’s not the xbox console’s fault. They could have just said that they weren’t quite ready to release it to xbox, but it’s in the works or something like that. I hope they can get a release out soon to xbox players because there in for a treat
