ARC Raiders is out and doing very well for itself, earning plenty of critical praise from players – and from us! The team at Embark aren’t wasting any time of tackling any post-launch gremlins, and have issued a new hotfix – the ARC Raiders patch notes detailed.
What we said about ARC Raiders – “ARC Raiders walks a fine balance. It’s an extraction shooter seemingly purpose-built for the hardcore players, yet is surprisingly accessible, whether you’re playing with friends or going out there solo. It’s thematically dystopian, yet utterly beautiful to look at, full of bright splashes of colour and a cohesive overall design. It can be tense, thrilling, and downright terrifying, but it is also filled with surprisingly sweet and endearing moments with the sort of random, social interaction I’ve not enjoyed since the early days of Sea of Thieves. This is ARC Raiders, and it’s just the beginning. It’s one of the best multiplayer games of the year, standing toe to toe with the giants in the genre. I’ll see you topside.“

ARC Raiders | Known Issues
Per the developers: “We’re actively tracking and resolving a number of known issues in ARC Raiders. Below is a list of the most common ones you might encounter. Our team is working to address them as quickly as possible.“
Performance
- The game may crash when attempting to surrender after losing connection and reconnecting to a session.
- When the ‘Inactive Window Energy Saving’ setting is enabled, FPS may stay the same after minimizing or unfocusing the game. This can occur on both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards.
- The Proximity VOIP feature may occasionally produce a robotic or distorted voice effect
- Using Raider Voice (Beta) with Open Mic can put extra strain on lower-end systems.
- To maintain stable performance. We recommend enabling this feature only on machines with 8 or more CPU cores, or switching to Push-to-Talk to reduce the impact.
Gameplay
- Being knocked down while carrying a Field Crate may cause you to lose the ability to shoot, use items, or switch weapons after being revived.
- After delivering a Field Crate, your character may become stuck in the searching animation when trying to collect loot.
- While the ‘Utility T3 Defensive’ augment is equipped, the ‘Mobile Repair’ effect may not function as intended when playing in a party.
- During the Strongroom Heist world activity, the Access Capacitor Rack may spawn without batteries, preventing completion of the activity.
- During the Electromagnetic Storm map condition, Bombardier and Bastion enemies may not be affected by the stun effect when struck by Lightning Strikes.
- After interacting with a prompt during certain quests and idling for too long may cause the item required to complete the quest to disappear.
- After reconnecting to a round, objectives that require interacting with a prompt may become impossible to complete, as the prompt may disappear.
Visual
- When switching between tabs in the Settings menu and returning to the Raider Deck or Store, the character’s outfit may temporarily disappear, leaving only a floating backpack visible.
- While previewing the map topside, Trials may display white placeholder icons instead of the correct visuals.
- Upon returning to the main menu, the character may appear with reduced textures or simplified visuals.
- In the character customization screen, the Hawker and Chap outfits may display a placeholder texture on their collars.
Quests
- Some quests currently have mismatched granted items or rewards:
- Greasing Her Palms
- Off the Radar
- Out of the Shadows
- Clearer Skies
- Life of a Pharmacist
- While completing the “A Lay of the Land” quest, progress may carry over incorrectly into the next round, preventing quest completion.
