It’s not long now until the full release of ARC Raiders on October 30th. Following a successful Server Slam event recently, the title promises to be a deservedly popular new multiplayer extraction shooter, and here at XboxEra we are really looking forward to the launch. But will ARC Raiders be free-to-play?
ARC Raiders is a multiplayer extraction shooter, where players join in squads of three and battle both other teams and the famous ARC units. The game’s environment is a beautiful looking PvPvE sandbox, and the team have had a lot of fun playing it so far. You will be able to read our full review-in-progress by Editor-in-Chief Jon on release day. Following a recent tech test, the team behind ARC Raiders had this to say ““The tech test was the best rehearsal we could get, ahead of what’s shaping up as a big release this fall. It’s clear that players recognize the passion, effort, and craftsmanship that’s been poured into the making of ARC Raiders. The test also honed in on concrete things we’re addressing in this last stretch of development. There are bugs to squash, as well as general polish and performance improvements to be done. We’re also fine-tuning game balance and the player economy, and will work on an even better onboarding experience for players who come in new to this genre. At release, the game will be further expanded, with more locations to explore, more adventures to embark on, and more for players to strive towards and discover.”
Free-to-play?
Unfortunately the answer to the question is no. You can currently pre-order ARC Raiders in the Microsoft Store for £30.99/$39.99 for the standard version and for £49.99/$59.99 for the Deluxe Edition. You can also purchase the game through the Xbox app on console.
ARC Raiders releases on October 30, 2025 on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and on cloud streaming through Nvidia GeForce NOW.
