Developer Duoyi Games will be launching their latest DLC “Echoes from Primal Grove” for their smash-hit roguelike first-person shooter ‘Gunfire Reborn‘ this week on 23 October on PC via Steam. This latest DLC adds two new heroes’ “Yoyo” and “Cang Jue” alongside four new weapons to help you tear up the battlefield in this cooperative roguelike first-person shooter.
Going over the two heroes, we have:
Yoyo
Summon nature spirits to fight for you, or spread parasite seeds to drain enemies’ life force by stacking parasite layers.
Take control of Yoyo, a new hero who channels the power of nature. In the field created by the forest staff, unleash the full magic and energy of the Staff to wipe out all enemies.
Cang Jue
Another “shapeshifter” Hero in Gunfire Reborn, Cang Jue is a dual-souled character who can shift into a unique battle stance. In the third-person mode, he unleashes a flurry of fierce punches and powerful moves to pummel enemies. Facing tough enemies? Cang Jue can also use mystic arts to control them, spray bullets, and take them down one by one!
And our four new weapons consist of a shotgun, staff, pistol, and sniper:
Armillary Sash (Staff)
Armillary Sash fires energy ribbons that ricochet through enemy hordes, marking targets. Time your skill activation to detonate all marks simultaneously, dealing massive multi-target damage.
Drift Shard (Sniper)
A Special Sniper that fires four arrows in quick bursts, rapidly build up overwhelming firepower. Once fully charged complete, unleash a rain of arrows that track enemies, auto-locking onto multiple targets for a massive barrage.
Jackpot (Shotgun)
By equipping a large-caliber barrel, Jackpot boasts firepower far beyond a typical shotgun. With each firing cycle, it draws different powerful effects, allowing it to unleash upgraded barrages and dominate the battlefield.
Viper Sight (Pistol)
Another Pistol-type weapon. Aiming with Viper Sight exposes weak points of enemies within the scope. Precise shots can deal Critical DMG. After dealing 3 critical hits, the next critical shot will scatter multiple laser trajectories that strike the nearest enemies in range.

It isn’t the prettiest nor does it feature the best translation, but Gunfire Reborn is stupidly fun to play. The controls feel fantastic, the character and build variety is top-tier, and as someone who adores roguelikes/lites, it had everything I was looking for. It’s out Day One on Game Pass for PC and Console so there’s no reason why you should give this one a try, especially if you’ve got a few friends to play with.
