It appears publisher Electronic Arts is finally taking action against players who use “Cronus zen” hardware in ‘Battlefield 6’, banning any user who has been detected to be playing with the device. As spotted across Facebook and Reddit, players who use the input conversion hardware will be glassed from the game:

And a collection of posts regarding the bans and reaction across the community can be found here and below (thanks to Rivalxfactor via Facebook):
If you’re out of the loop, Cronus zen devices allow you to use a mouse and keyboard on console platforms for games that typically do not support that input method on those systems. This, in turn, often allows Cronus zen players to take advantage of the additional aim assist that comes with using a controller. And while Cronus zen devices have their accessibility uses, they are oftentimes offering an unfair playing advantage against other players—particularly in competitive shooting titles like ‘Overwatch’ and ‘Call of Duty’. This is one of the few times a major publisher has taken action against such players, and it seems that Electronic Arts isn’t mucking about on this one.
Battlefield 6 is now available across PC via Steam/EA Desktop, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 consoles—sporting cross-play support across all platforms. Do check out our review of the campaign portion of the game right over here!
