Grounded 2 has been available to play in Game Preview since July this year and is currently included within an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The game is also available to purchase for PC and this weekend the team have announced that the Grounded 2 Game Preview is free this weekend on Steam.

The announcement came last night and the promotion will be running from 10AM PT on October 9th, right up until 10AM PT on October 13th, giving players a good chunk of time to get familiar with the game. Currently Grounded 2 is available to purchase via Steam for £24.99 in the UK for the standard version, and £34.99 for the upgraded founders pack which contains the base game, four premium skins, an artbook and the soundtrack.
Our editor-in-chief Jon completed a review-in-progress of Grounded 2 on release and had this to say about it “If you’re a fan of the original game, I’d say there’s nothing ground(ed) breaking here. In fact, it’s very easy to like Grounded 2 because in many ways, it’s the first game again, albeit at a much bigger scale, with new mysteries to solve and an entirely new map to explore and survive in. The core strengths of the original are here and intact, from the gorgeous world and solid survival mechanics, to another intriguing story to unpack, but I can’t help but feel there should have been more from the start that feels truly new. Still, it is a lot of fun, and as we begin another early access journey, this peblet and clay foundation is pretty solid – I can’t wait to see what else is in store.“
