Today, publisher SQUARE ENIX announced that their previously announced collaboration event with CAPCOM’s ‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ is now available in ‘FINAL FANTASY XIV Online’.
The crossover, which was first showcased by FINAL FANTASY XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida alongside Monster Hunter Wilds Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto during the show challenges players to take on the fearsome Guardian Arkveld in both Normal and Extreme difficulties in return for a good number of in-game rewards, including a Mount, Minions, Housing Items and more.
In today’s Patch 7.35, Pilgrim’s Traverse, a new Deep Dungeon, launches alongside this collaboration—which includes a variety of new ways to play, either solo or as part of a fixed party. A challenge log, changes to restart restrictions and variable difficulty boss encounters are just some of the ways a wide variety players will be able to enjoy this latest addition to the game.
Full patch notes can be found thisaway on the game’s official site. FINAL FANTASY XIV Online is available on PC via Steam/Mogstation, PlayStation, and Xbox Series consoles—a free trial is available across all platforms, allowing newcomers to experience a significant portion of FFXIV’s content for free (with a few restrictions). Without the trial, Xbox players will need both an active subscription to FINAL FANTASY XIV Online and Xbox Live Gold/Game Pass to play the game.
On the flip side, Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 consoles—and it’s seen its own collaboration event with FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.
