Online Co-op Comes to Vampire Survivors

The highly addictive and dopamine-inducing Vampire survivors was a huge hit when it released in 2022. Fans of the title were then further delighted when local co-op was introduced during a later update, and now following an announcement by Poncle today, online co-op is coming to Vampire Survivors.

Online Co-op Comes to Vampire Survivors

Poncle shared the trailer this afternoon showing players joining a lobby to team up and fight the hordes. Per the developers “Play online with up to 3 other friends from around the world, just as Poe Ratcho intended. (That’s 4 players in total!) Free roam the stages whilst your friend struggles to find their way through Astral Stair, or maybe see if you can all survive Room 1665… More players doesn’t make it easier, or does it?

An interesting pert of the trailer showed the unveiling of the first of five cards, and teased that there would be a further announcement next week saying “be sure to come back next week to see what the following card will reveal… we might finally answer a burning question that has been asked thousands of times.” We have no information on this as yet, bur we will keep you updated once we know more.

We reviewed Vampire Survivors on release and had this to say “An infinitely replayable and ridiculously addictive indie phenomenon with wagons of content that only costs like 5 bucks sounds like almost too good to be true, and to be fair the game does have a few shortcomings. For starters, the initial impression may not be the best, with the first stage being dull-looking and the sprite artwork not being anything special. It’s when the game is at its slowest and least exciting too, but it’s not long before the true “bullet heaven” begins.” Vampire Survivors also came in at no. 2 in the XboxEra staff Game of the Year for 2022.
