Fresh rumors around the supposed Halo CE Remake are claiming that one of Virtuous’ studios is co-developing the game with Halo Studios, alongside other ‘inside info’. We have confirmed things with our sources, as well.
Halo Studios has recently promised a deep dive into the Halo franchise and what they’ve been working on. Mr. Rebs, a longtime content creator around Halo, has stated in a new video that he has been told a Halo CE Remake is in the works, with Virtuous studio Abstraction in co-development. He further claimed that the game is running in a ‘hybrid engine’ in a similar way to Virtuous’s recent The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered release.
On our part, we can independently confirm that the report on development partners is accurate, as is the hybrid engine approach being taken. It’s important to note that Halo Studios is the lead on the project. Either way, we may finally see this long-rumored project later this month at the final Halo Infinite-led Halo World Championship event in Seattle. In terms of exact timing for when you can tune in via Twitch/YouTube, fret not – Halo Studios will be sharing the full schedule for the event after the currently planned Charlotte major in a couple of weeks.
