In a bit of cheeky social media post, BGS has confirmed that a Physical Deluxe Edition of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will release this October.

When you've cleared two goblin caves, an underwater shipwreck, and the entire town of Hackdirt, and you still can't remember where you picked this item up. 🤔

The post, as seen above, takes the game’s UI and superimposes the box art for the Physical Deluxe Edition with the text “October 13th, 2025”. What is included in the box and which platforms it will release on are not part of the announcement.

Oblivion Remastered Physical Deluxe

I reviewed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered back at launch. I loved playing through this gorgeous version of the title on both PC and Xbox Series X, stating:

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is about as good a remaster as you could hope for. It doesn’t look to reinvent the gameplay, instead focusing on smart tweaks where possible. What is remade are the graphics, and Virtuous has done a stupendous job keeping the feel of the original while overhauling every single pixel. It’s available on Game Pass, is fully Play Anywhere, and retails for $50 otherwise. Oblivion is an easy recommendation, as one of my favorite games is now that much better.

The title has seen major success since its launch back in April, reaching over 4 million players only two weeks after launch.
