
Today, SEGA announced that their high-speed kart racer ‘Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds‘ is now available across PC via Steam, Xbox Series, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch consoles. Players will race across land, sea, air, and space while warping across new dimensions. And speed to victory solo or as a team in a variety of offline and online modes and compete across platforms against players from around the world with full crossplay support. Additionally, the publisher also announced a Twitch Rivals tournament set for CrossWorlds, with a cash prize of $10K USD set for each bracket:
The tournament will begin with qualifiers in both regions on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 with finals happening on Friday, October 3. Please find more details about the tournament schedule and structure below:
Tournament Schedule:
- NA Qualifiers: September 26, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM PT
- EU Qualifiers: September 27, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM PT
- Finals: October 3, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM PT
Tournament Structure:
- Two lobbies per region
- One competitive and one casual
- 12 racers per lobby
- Top six racers from each lobby in each region advance to the finals:
- 6 NA Competitive
- 6 EU Competitive
- 6 NA Casual
- 6 EU Casual
- Prizing:
- $10,000 for the winner of each bracket
Lastly, CAPCOM’s very own Mega Man will join as the latest addition to the growing Season Pass roster. During the last livestream, SEGA debuted a new trailer showcasing Mega Man and Proto Man as new playable characters, as well as a new Mega Man-inspired course. Mega Man’s faithful companion, Rush, also joins the race as a new vehicle, the Rush Roadster:
