Announced during Sony’s State of Play, an all time classic is getting a new coat of paint. Deus Ex Remastered has been announced, and it’s coming early next year.
Developed in partnership between Aspyr and Eidos Montreal, Deus Ex Remastered is the “definitive version of the legendary cyberpunk immersive sim, modernized with visual upgrades, modern enhancements, and quality-of-life improvements for a new generation of operatives.“

Set in the year 2052, you’ll play as operative JC Denton, an augmented UNATCO operative, traversing a dystopian future that becomes a pivotal moment in human history.
The remaster features updated graphics (as you can see from the screenshot above), with new lighting, shadows, improved character models and upscaled textures throughout. They’ve also added lip-synced dialogue and overhauled controls, meaning vastly improved controller support for console players.
Per the developers via the PlayStation Blog – “This remaster isn’t just a visual upgrade, but a preservation of Deus Ex’s DNA – carefully modernized without sacrificing the conspiratorial paranoia that made the original game so iconic. Each location has been overhauled with new lighting, dynamic shadows, particle systems, and upscaled textures. For the first time, you’ll see this dystopian future rendered with rebuilt character models, lip-synced dialogue, and ragdoll physics. The control scheme has been optimized from the ground up, designed to feel intuitive and responsive whether you’re sneaking through back alleys or storming corporate headquarters.“
Deus Ex Remastered releases February 5th, 2026 and is releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
