Is Jump Space coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Jump Space is a new co-operative mission based first person shooter for 1-4 players, where you and your pals crew a space ship and go on missions to bring freedom to the galaxy. You’re looking to dive in, but you’re wondering – will you have to buy it, or is Jump Space coming to Xbox Game Pass?

If you typed the question above, but perhaps searched for Jump Ship as opposed to Jump Space, don’t worry, you’re not crazy. The developers had to change the name due to ‘trademark complications’, so you’re in the right place.
The game has had over 1,000,000 wishlists on Steam, and Jump Space is set to release into Early Access on Steam and in Game Preview on Xbox Series X|S on September 19th. It already had a roadmap shared for launch, detailing plenty of the plans that developer Keepsake Games have for this promising looking title. It’s understandable that you’re looking for a way to play it.
Is Jump Space coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Here’s the short answer – despite other outlets telling you it is, we’ve confirmed with the developers directly. Jump Space is not coming to Xbox Game Pass, at least, not during this Early Access period.
While Jump Space is coming to Xbox as a console exclusive (mostly due to the fact that PlayStation don’t have an early access program in the same way that Steam and Xbox do), there is a lot of confusion as to whether the game is coming to Xbox Game Pass.
This likely stems from the fact that any online, multiplayer game requires Xbox Game Pass Core, which replaced Xbox Live Gold, which was effectively the paid-online-multiplayer service for Microsoft’s console. Meaning that you sort of ‘need’ Xbox Game Pass core in order to play the game.
