Almost unbelievably, we are already halfway through September, and without wanting to wish our lives away – here at XboxEra we are looking forward to some highly anticipated releases during October. We will bring you more updates as we receive them – but for now let’s take a look and see what’s coming next, because Xbox Game Pass has six games already confirmed for October 2025.
UPDATE: Little Rocket League also confirmed as coming to Day One on Xbox Game Pass on October 7th. See below for more details!
Ball x Pit
Combining classic brick breaking with base-building and survival, Ball x Pit arrives on October 15th. Developers Devolver Digital described the upcoming title as a“fast-paced fantasy roguelite where heroes must find the balls to plunge deeper into a seemingly bottomless pit of monsters. Develop arcane ammunition and resources in pursuit of treasure, recruiting additional heroes to aid you in your perilous quest.“
Keeper
DoubleFine’s latest surreal adventure sees players controlling a lighthouse and embarking on an adventure with their companion Twig. XboxEra founder Jon was lucky enough to sit down with the developers at Gamescom this year and you can check out his full impressions here. Keeper is releasing on October 17th.
Ninja Gaiden 4
Coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 21, the latest installment of the series sees new mechanics and challenging combat introduced with a fresh take on the classic franchise. Read our thoughts in the XboxEra hands -on preview.
Bounty Star
With a preload already available on Xbox, players will combine both third-person mech fighting and farming to build and maintain a home base in a post-apocalyptic version of the American South-West. Full of action, and with plenty of opportunity to blow stuff up, this title looks to be great fun and definitely worth checking out. Bounty Star is coming to Xbox and PC on October 23rd.
Per the developers, “Bounty Star is an over-the-shoulder third-person action game that marries mech combat and customization with farming and base building. The player takes on the role of a broken but powerful ex-soldier named Clem — a war veteran, talented fighter and expert mech pilot. Clem attempts to shed the guilt and shame of her past and become a legitimate force for good in the Red Expanse, a post-post-apocalyptic version of the American Southwest.“
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
The sequel to the original from 2018, this roguelite title is also releasing on October 23rd. Developers Digital Sun had this to say: “As you venture into the unknown, you’ll clash with fearsome foes and gather precious loot in sprawling, dynamic dungeons. Take risks and reap rewards with the game’s new layer of tactical depth“.
The Outer Worlds 2
The latest title from Obsidian is highly anticipated – unfortunately though, you’ll have to wait until right at the end of the month to play; the release date isn’t until October 29th. To keep you going until then, yo can read the XboxEra hands-on preview.
Reviews editor Jesse had summed up his thoughts by saying “The Outer Worlds 2 feels, looks, and sounds better than the original game, which I enjoyed, in every way.“
Our full review will be out closer to the launch date.
Little Rocket League
This super cute looking new title from No More Robots is a factory building sim with a difference. Playing as Morgan who has some great engineering skills, you must help your local town create all sorts of buildings, contraptions and machines and rebuild. Little Rocket League is coming Day One to Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
