Fans of the Dying Light franchise are getting ready this week for the release of Dying Light: The Beast, a new game that takes place and links together the first and second titles. Due for release on both Xbox and PC on September 18th, one day earlier than originally planned, there is one question all fans would like to know the answer to: Is Dying Light: The Beast on Xbox Game Pass?

If you are new to the Dying Light series of games, these are first-person, zombie killing, action adventure romps. Following ‘hero’ Kyle Crane, Dying Light: The Beast is the sequel to the DLC of the first title. Ten years have passed since those events – and poor old Kyle has really been through the wringer. Dying Light: The Beast was originally set for an August 2025 release, but the team delayed this by a few weeks to September 19th, then brought it forward to the 18th following a huge uptake of fans securing their copies in advance. According to Techland, all customers who have pre-ordered the game will also receive an ‘exclusive reward’ – although exactly what this contains is still being kept under wraps.

Xbox Game Pass release?

So, will Dying Light: The Beast be released on Xbox Game Pass? Unfortunately for subscribers and fans, the answer is no. Dying Light: The Beast is selling at retail for £59.99/$59.99 for the standard edition and £69.99/$69.99 for the Deluxe Edition. However, anyone who has purchased the ultimate edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human will receive Dying Light: The Beast at no additional charge.
