How to Solve the Monsters Gate Puzzle in Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants

Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants is here, putting players back in the shoes of Indiana Jones himself. If you’re playing and find yourself stuck on one of the very last puzzles – namely, the Monsters Gate Puzzle, we’re here to help.

How to Solve the Monsters Gate Puzzle in Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants:

When you first enter the room, you’ll have to defeat a bunch of cultists with whatever you can lay your hands on. Once defeated, you’ll have the room to yourself, so you can fully concentrate on solving the Monsters Gate Puzzle.

Step 1: Place the tiles in front of the large mural in their relevant spots. It’s not tricky, and if you’re putting a horses legs on to a snake, I probably won’t be able to help you in life, let alone video games. Once the mural has been restored, a small panel will reveal itself under the scorpion, which contains a wooden cog wheel. Return to the altar at the centre of the room, and place the cogwheel there.

Step 2: There are four pillars located around the room, namely a horse, snake, scorpion and a bird. These all correlate with a roman numeral on the mural, as below:

  • Horse – III
  • Snake – II
  • Scorpion – VI
  • Bird – V

What you’re supposed to do is use the cylinder on the alter to identify the symbol associated with the animal on the mural – but you’re here for a solution on how to solve the Monsters Gate Puzzle in Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants, so we can skip the detail and just match the symbols, as in these four pictures below:

Step 3: Once you’ve aligned the symbols under each animal on the four pillars, take the cylinder from the central altar and place it in the middle of Monster Gate Mural – and voilá! You’ve solved the Monsters Gate Mural and can continue on your adventure!
