Space Shooter Wildgate is 33% off for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers

Wildgate, a new crew-based space shooter from publisher Dreamhaven released back in July and got some pretty positive reviews. Now, the developers have announced a special deal just for Xbox fans – starting right now, Wildgate is 33% off for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers.

Per the developers – “Gather your squad and prepare to plunder the Reach! Wildgate, the crew-based first-person shooter, is on sale now for $20.09 – a 33% discount (normally $29.99) – for Game Pass Standard, Core, and Ultimate subscribers. There’s no space crime like the present – grab a copy before the sale concludes on September 8, 2025.

Developed by Moonshot Games, Wildgate released back in July and while it had pretty positive reviews, it ultimately didn’t do fantastically at retail. The publisher, Dreamhaven, is helmed by Mike Morhaime, one of the co-founders of legendary developer Blizzard. In a letter to staff at the company seen by Bloomberg, it was revealed that Wildgate only sold 130,000 units. It’s understandable that the primary goal to stay alive is to shift units and get people playing, and this feels like a pretty savvy way of getting a good game seen by more people. In an era where there are – frankly – so many good games, it’s a smart move.
