Are you ready for Jump Space? The developers at Keepsake Games certainly are, and have announced that this super promising co-operative ship based first-person-shooter is launching next month!
Jump Space (which was formerly called Jump Ship before the developers were forced to change the name for legal reasons) is a mission-based, co-op FPS for 1-4 players where you are the crew. Per the developers, players will be able to “Transition seamlessly from crewing the ship to on-foot exploration and spacewalks. Engage in intense battles both on the ground and in space, and always keep your ship upgraded and intact. Teamwork is key for survival and victory against the machine virus. We love co-op games, and we love space! Jump Space is our attempt to make both work together.“
Jump Space is coming to Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview on September 19th. If you’d like to know a little more about how the game works, you can check out this neat ‘explainer’ video from the developers below.
I got to spend a decent amount of time with the demo for Jump Space during Steam Next Fest earlier this year, and became even more excited to get my hands on the game. We’ll be bringing you a review-in progress of this Early Access/Game Preview title as soon as we can.
