GOG.com, the digital platform most famous for it’s staunchly anti-DRM approach to the games it sells on the platform has put a public call out to future Xbox gamers who might be considering building their own DRM-free library on the platform.

The team took to social media via Bluesky to share that Xbox gamers can now link their Xbox Live Account to GOG. “Are you an Xbox user looking to start building your DRM-free library on GOG? We’ve got the perfect news for you! You can now log in to GOG with your Xbox account, putting you just one click away from buying games that will be yours to keep forever. We’re waiting for you!”

They shared an image of the new account linking process, showing just how simple it will be for existing Xbox Gamers to link their accounts, and start building their libraries on the platform. All of this effort is linked to Microsoft’s increasingly platform agnostic push, promoting playing games “wherever you are” as opposed to be locked to a specific hardware platform. We also have the release of the upcoming joint venture between ASUS and Xbox, with the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.

    1. Really I’ve used GOGs galaxy launcher for a long time as my main hub for gog, steam, and Xbox with very few issues. Is this mainly a console issue

  1. Me. Now if it found my xbox owned games AND gave me GOG versions like they did with steam a few years ago , then we’re talking. Or even vice versa.
