ROG Xbox Ally to Release October 16th per new report

Is it time?

With Gamescom swiftly approaching, and tons of great looking games on the horizon, we know it will also feature the first public hands-on with their ASUS partnered ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X. Last week, reliable leaker ‘billbil-kun’ shared some news regarding the price via Dealabs, and now they’re back again with a release date.

Do we finally have an Xbox Ally release date? In a new report from Dealabs, billbil-kun has now shared the one piece of information we were missing. Per the report, (translated) “According to our information, the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X consoles will be officially launched on October 16, 2025. This date is currently for the European market, and although it is very likely, it remains to be seen whether the other regions will benefit from a simultaneous launch.

Obviously, the expectation is that this release date will be officially revealed during Gamescom, and probably during Geoff Keighly’s “Opening Night Live’ Event, though Xbox themselves are having a event that will feature the handheld on Wednesday August 20th, starting at 6am PT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST.

I was lucky enough to go hands-on with the Xbox Ally X back during the Xbox Games Showcase and as an existing Ally X owner, I was very impressed. For my full write up, head here.
