Today, developer Code Horizon and publisher Ultimate Games S.A. announced that their industrial machines and construction site simulator ‘Giant Machines 2017’ is now available on Xbox Series consoles—with the PlayStation 5 version tearing through earth on the 7th of August.
First made available on PC via Steam back in 2016, players will take control over seven of the biggest industrial machines in the world. During the 14 mission campaign you will punch through the snows of Greenland, plow the steppes of Wyoming and travel all the way to sunny Florida. Your hard work will be completed by launching a space shuttle into space.

Giant Machines 2017, from the creators of the bestselling Gold Mining Simulator, is launching on Xbox Series X|S on July 10, 2025. Step into the role of a heavy equipment operator and take control of seven of the world’s largest industrial machines. Feel the roar of the engines, hear the hiss of hydraulics, and witness giant steel beasts in action. The game features not only faithfully recreated machinery but also a full story-driven campaign and an optional Time Attack mode.
Many Missions, One Goal
Players will take on 14 varied missions across locations around the globe – from the frozen landscapes of Greenland and the wilds of Wyoming and Missouri to the sun-drenched coastlines of Florida. The campaign gradually introduces each new machine and challenge through story progression.
Throughout the game, players will crush mountain slopes, move tons of earth, cut through steel, extract radioactive ore, and transport equipment—including the space shuttle itself.
Machines That Impress
Giant Machines 2017 features seven specialized, heavy-duty vehicles. Among them are the massive Bagger mining machine, the Crawler platform used for moving the space shuttle, and a truck-mounted crane for loading containers.
Each machine has been meticulously recreated with a high level of detail, both externally and internally. Players can operate from a first-person perspective, watch the mechanical arms, pistons, and gears in motion, and experience the environment from the viewpoint of a machine weighing hundreds of tons.
