In a blog post titled Summer Drops Fest 2025, Twitch has given the name of the event and heroes coming to Marvel Rivals Season 3.
We covered Marvel Rivals back at launch, quickly stating:
“Marvel Rivals is an excellent start to what should be a long-running franchise. NetEase has done a great job of proudly using mechanics that are well-known while crafting a uniquely crazy experience all their own. This 6v6 hero shooter/fighter has started from a place of strength. With proper leadership, it should only improve and grow as the years pass this multiverse by.”
In the leak today at this blog post, Twitch said:
Phoenix and Blade ignite the action in Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awaken! Get ready for all-new team-ups, stunning Venomized costumes, and sizzling summer events that will turn up the heat. Don’t miss out—tune in to Marvel Rivals on Twitch for exclusive drops and dive into this epic new chapter!
After a season with no damaged-first heroes, we’re getting both the Phoenix, a.k.a. a cosmically powered Jean Grey, and the Daywalker himself, Blade. The season will be titled “The Abyss Awaken!”, which isn’t the best English and may be Awakens, we’ll have to wait and see.
