SEGA has confirmed the leaks and Sonic Crossworlds will have SpongeBob SquarePants as an IP crossover in the upcoming racer.
In a social media post earlier tonight, the team at SEGA confirmed that SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star will be racers in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. There will be a track set in Bikini Bottom featuring the Krusty Krab, and you can race using the Patty Wagon.
Rev up those fryers (and engines!) – SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star are coming to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Race through Bikini Bottom, visit the Krusty Krab, and tear up the ocean floor in the Patty Wagon.

Today, at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, as the kick-off to a larger campaign with the brand, SEGA announced an in-game collaboration with Nickelodeon for the highly anticipated Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. During a moment in the show, SEGA debuted an exclusive new trailer showcasing characters from the SpongeBob SquarePants universe racing alongside Sonic and friends. Fans also got a glimpse of the new SpongeBob SquarePants themed vehicle and track, as well as a tease of future Nickelodeon themed content from the Avatar universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
By purchasing the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition, fans can experience the Season Pass, which includes the Nickelodeon content as well as the recently announced Minecraft characters, vehicles, and tracks, characters from the hit Netflix series, Sonic Prime, and two more yet-to-be-announced collaborations.
