The Alters pre-load is up on Xbox, coming to Game Pass in June

The Alters, which is coming to Game Pass on June 13th, has its pre-load now available on Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store on PC.

The pre-load weighs in at:

  • 49.46 GB download on Xbox Series X|S
  • 48.2 GB download in the Xbox PC app

The Alters sees you play as various alternate reality versions of Jan Dolski. He’s an astronaut stranded on a remote planet. After coming across a strange element called Rapidium, Jan can create different versions of himself to help stay alive on the planet. Recent previews for the game were positive, and while we weren’t invited to Poland ourselves for that event, we will have a review closer to launch.

The game described itself in a press release as:

Stranded on a hostile planet and racing against a deadly sunrise, Jan Dolski’s only chance of survival is to create “alters”—alternate versions of himself shaped by roads not taken. Each Jan comes with unique skills, personalities, and memories tied to a different life choice. But they also come with conflict, doubt, and emotional baggage.

Managing the mission means managing yourself—literally. Players must maintain a mobile base, make time-critical decisions, build relationships with their Alters, and confront the consequences of their own past lives.
