If you’ve been hankering for some multiplayer spaceship-based combat, then good news! You’ll probably want to check out ‘Wildgate‘ a new game from developer Moonshot Games and Publisher Dreamhaven. Thankfully, that’s relatively easy to do, as the Wildgate is getting a free demo as a part of Steam Next Fest, which takes place between 9th -16th June.
Per the developers, Wildgate “combines action-packed multiplayer gameplay with explosive spaceship combat for a galactically fresh take on the genre. Choose from a lineup of Prospectors with unique abilities, pilot massive spacecraft, and plunder space wreckage for forgotten loot while searching for the coveted Artifact. Crews win by successfully making it through the “Wildgate” with the Artifact or destroying all rival ships first.“

invited to work together and confront evolving cosmic threats – whether they’re mysterious
hazards of the Reach – or presented by rival Prospectors. We’re counting on you to bring your
best-laid plans… and hey, even if they don’t pan out for the win, we’ve found that some of our
favorite experiences are the ones we least expect.”

Wildgate, the spacefaring crew-based FPS, will be playable via a free demo during Steam Next Fest from June 9th – 16th, 2025. Wildgate launches for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 later this year.
