Xbox has just put up dynamic backgrounds for Metaphor ReFantazio and The Witcher 3 on Xbox Series consoles.
To celebrate Metaphor ReFantazio coming to Game Pass later this month and The Witcher 3’s 10th anniversary, Xbox has added dynamic backgrounds for each game.
We covered Metaphor ReFantazio at launch, stating:
Metaphor’s world design is almost dreamlike, down to the very storybook of irony that Will carries around with him all the time. The cast bonds together incredibly well and I love how everyone has a part to play in this fantasy land of pixies, a race for the throne, dog and box-headed races, and the like. The artwork is gorgeous, the music is splendid. Mixed in is a simple yet fun combat system, complete with unique overworld encounters in the dungeons and out about in towns. I’ve no metaphors for this—Metaphor: ReFantazio is a fantastic RPG for all. ∎
Fantazio. Fantastico. Fantasia. One of those might give me the pun-high I’m looking for.
I reviewed The Witcher 3’s Series X update:
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was originally released back in 2015 on Xbox One. It became one of my favorite games of the generation with its well-written, mature storytelling in a dark fantasy world. Seemingly non-stop since release CDProjekt Red has been tweaking, upgrading, and fixing every issue they could find with the game. Now we get a native Xbox Series version that gets you every piece of content ever made for the game and a breathtaking graphical overhaul.
Do you like these Dynamic Backgrounds? While I prefer The Witcher as a series the Metaphor one is gorgeous.
I remember people asked for Metaphor for it being its marketing game. Better late than never.

The Metaphor background is the menu! Atlus menus areso well designed that this will be a background I will use.
