Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is being shut down by Activision after it failed to meet their expectations, with a full delisting coming in the next few days.

In a never-healthy late Friday social media post, Activision has announced that Call of Duty Warzone Mobile will be delisted in two days on iOS and Android after it failed to meet their expectations. Here is their statement:
We deeply appreciate your dedication and passion for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Going forward, we will be streamlining the scope of the game. This decision was made after careful consideration of various factors and while we’re proud of the accomplishment in bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, it unfortunately has not met our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences.
As a result, we will no longer be delivering new seasonal content and gameplay updates to the mobile version. Effective immediately, players will no longer be able to purchase Call of Duty Points or Black Cell using real currency in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Sunday, May 18, 2025 will be the last day the game can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple’s App Store and social features across both mobile platforms will be retired.
Players who have the game installed before Monday, May 19, 2025 will still have access to the game with continued cross-progression of shared inventories using existing content, and servers with matchmaking for online play. Any unspent COD Points can also be redeemed in-game toward available content in the Store: https://codmatvi.onelink.me/jYL7/gcy2xe18
We know that this news may be disappointing, and we truly appreciate the support, passion, feedback, and dedication from our community. We have special incentives for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile players in Call of Duty: Mobile and encourage our players to try it for free. We covered the launch of Warzone Mobile last year, stating:
Playing Warzone Mobile for the last few weeks really reinforced this thought process of mine as I parachuted down of what looked like a cut map from Bad Company 1, as my mates were Diablo’s Lillith, a Dobermann, Snoop Dog, you name it (though to be fair if I had those skins I’d wear ’em, too).
As far as I can tell from the last 15 years since I touched a console Call of Duty, all that was added was an extra sprint mode and a small slide that you can use to juke poor touchscreen players, as if they didn’t already have a major disadvantage against me.
With that outta the way, let me get to the good: Warzone Mobile is incredibly solid in its mechanics and moment-to-moment gameplay. Shooting feels great, there’s solid weapon variety, the movement options aren’t limited—it’s quite literally Call of Duty brought to mobile devices and dare I say better than the ‘Call of Duty: Mobile’ title that is currently run by Timi/Tencent.
Seriously it’s so good that I will keep this game installed, until something I like comes to replace it, because I want to have more pew pew options on my Android tablet. Gameloft really dropped the ball on this market, shame because those ‘Modern Combat’ games could’ve picked up quite a bit of the market had they actually done their due diligence.

Yes I am a COD WARZONE PLAYER AND I LOVE THE GAME FOR CONTOLLER SUPPORT BETTER TECHNIQUES AND GREAT MOVEMENT TO COME ON TOP IN THE BATTLE I HATE IT HAS TO GO BECAUSE I STILL DONT HAVE SOME OF MY FRIENDS YET TO GET ON AND TRY IT OUT WITH ME
I’m glad this shit is dying they shoulda used a mobile engine not the console/PC engine shoulda hired a mobile company like tencent
Good riddance to this poorly optimized junk.
Couldnt come sooner. Activision listens to the wrong people. They are about to loose codm too if the dont pay close attention to the consumer/ players. Who ever decides what maps we play should be fired. Not to mention weapons dinamics.
I played CODM Warzone and it was horrible. Clunky movements, bad functionality, no clear hit markers or damage indicators, firing was difficult compared to CODM. This was supposed to be better than CODM and it was worse by far.
But how can I get my cod points after this
Ppl complaining about a mobile version of WZ is insane. You guys are pathetic
