Starsand Island will have players leave the hustle of the city behind and embrace life on a far-out floating bit of land. Fish, farm, raise animals, and befriend or fall in love with locals to learn their secrets. Customize your world with our DIY system and invite friends to help build your dream paradise.
The developers have stated on their Kickstarter that the reason for starting a funding campaign was to increase the scope of the project. Per their words:
“Because we want to do something different. Who says amusement parks have to be on land? If “Raft” can let you build a home on the sea, and Starsand Island is surrounded by ocean, why can’t we move the fun to the waves and let players experience the thrill of constructing their own floating theme park? No other simulation game has done this before—we think it’s a fantastic idea, and we want to make it happen! But our current budget only covers the core project, so we’re asking for your help to bring this vision to life.”
