Developer Masala Games will launch their free companion animated film to their coming narrative adventure title ‘Detective Dotson‘ tomorrow on the 24th of April. Premiering at 0730 CST/1330 BST on YouTube, ‘Detective Dotson The Movie’ is a prologue to the game, where Dotson, an amateur detective, stumbles into a corporate empire’s deadly plan to manipulate the masses. Stalked by a mysterious assassin, he rallies his mismatched crew of friends to end the conspiracy during a high-stakes cricket match. He ends up uncovering a shocking family secret and finds out who he really is.
Detective Dotson The Movie will air with both Hindi and English dubs along with English subs for both variants of audio. The film is roughly 60 minutes long and is best described as an adventure slash comedy-drama with 90s Bollywood film influences. Voice talents for the Hindi dub include Sanket Mhatre and Rajesh Kava from the Hindi versions of movies such as Avengers: Endgame, Deadpool & Wolverine, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and more.
Detective Dotson will launch on PC via Steam/Microsoft Store on the 24th of April and a demo is currently available on Steam for your perusal. It is a cosy mystery game about a detective with Bollywood dreams. It’s the first adventure game set in the colorful streets of India. Engage with adorable 2D characters living in a 3D world. Players will find clues and solve the evidence board and with each case solved, a larger mystery unfolds.
