Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available for players to enjoy, whether they buy it or play it via Xbox Game Pass. One thing players will soon discover is not only one of the highest rated games of the year, but an incredible soundtrack to go with it. The good news? The incredible Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack is out now on music services, so you can enjoy it wherever you are.
Per a press release from Laced Music, “The music in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 follows the emotion and story that the players will experience as they embark on their adventure with Expedition 33. A hybrid mixture of lyrical orchestral pieces, prog-rock boss themes and ambient soundscapes illustrate every corner of the game, from the bustling streets of the capital city Lumière to the deepest depths of the ocean. Each environment has its own soundscape with bespoke battle themes and custom themes have been written for every major boss in the game.“
They continue: “French composer Lorien Testard spent five years working on the game’s soundtrack, writing 154 songs spanning more than eight hours of music. Most of the music was written and recorded at Testard’s home studio, but a selection of songs were performed and recorded by the prestigious Curieux Orchestra at the Midilive Studios in Paris.“
Speaking with regards to release off the soundtrack, Lorien Testard says:
“Scoring Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was an incredibly fun process, as the game’s universe is so rich that it allowed me to engage my imagination and creativity every single day. The music in the game was created to fully immerse the player in our world —to carry them away and invite them to resonate with the expedition and their journey. Thank you for stepping into the world of Clair Obscur. Wishing you a wonderful adventure alongside Expedition 33.”
