Ubisoft Massive just confirmed that The Division 2’s second expansion, Battle for Brooklyn, will be released this May.

Battle for Brooklyn is the 2nd expansion for The Division 2. The title was originally released in 2019. It was mostly dead a year later until a sales-led resurgence got them to put out an expansion. It was titled Warlords of New York, bringing the game back to that city after moving to Washington for the bulk of its sequel. Battle For Brooklyn brings us back to another area of the first game, set in the Fall this time, instead of the original title’s Winter.
The expansion’s story will be focused on Keslo and Keener, who long-time series fans know of, and the rest of you will have no clue what’s going on. Suffice it to say, after seemingly killing Keener in Warlords of New York, he’s alive! Turns out the big bad in the shadows from the first game is actually a hero, because why not? It will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on May 27th, 2025

We reviewed the base game and its first expansion back in 2021, stating:
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was released in March of 2019 to generally positive reviews. The graphics were stunning, the gameplay was top-notch, and the music was uniformly excellent. Story and voice acting wise though, things were severely lacking. While trying to be a-political it ended up hitting on multiple real-world issues in an unsettling way. The endgame content didn’t hold fan’s attention for very long, a major issue for this type of live service game. Changes from the first game’s loot system made it difficult to understand what was or wasn’t an upgrade, and the system was terribly balanced. After two years, three major free DLC episodes, and an excellent paid expansion just how has this title evolved, and how does it run on the new generation of consoles?
