Today we got official word on the growth of Game Subscriptions in the US, since Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 hit Game Pass last October.. The word comes from Mat Piscatella himself on BlueSky with this statement:
Now, this isn’t really surprising news as such given how big Call Of Duty is is. Call of Duty is one of the biggest franchises on the planet, so seeing it help subscriptions grow in the US is of no surprise.
Game Pass first introduced the franchise with Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. Then months later with The latest hit, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6, which launched day 1 on Game pass.
The title was a huge win for Activision, Microsoft and Game Pass too.

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Campaign is excellent. While the story might not be perfect it was just logical enough to keep me happy. It’s available at launch for Xbox Game Pass Console, PC, and Ultimate members on Cloud, Console, and PC‘.

2022s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II has also been confirmed for Game pass next week. With rumours circling around that more games will be coming soon. This will be a nice surprise for gamers, but for some, including me, a long time coming.
I have been waiting for the Call Of Duty franchise to hit the service ever since the Microsoft and Activision buyout back in October13th 2023. But it seems the wait is finally getting shorter and shorter thankfully.
With the next game in the COD franchise seemingly out this year, and a definite launch into Game Pass, I think the service will always continue to grow.
