Oblivion was originally released on March 20, 2006 for PC and Xbox 360. The game is celebrating its 20th anniversary next year.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake/remaster has long been rumored ever since the game was originally listed in a document during the infamous Xbox-FTC trial and subsequent document leaks.

Both trusted insider NateTheHate and Andy Robinson of VGC have corroborated the existence of the remake, and that the game is reportedly being worked on by development studio Virtuous, who will update several gameplay systems as well as use Unreal Engine 5 to update the games graphics.

  1. I really want this to be good but why would you shadow drop what is possibly one of the best games of it’s generation? I get the impression Bethesda aren’t proud of this and they just want to get it done and out the door. And after Starfield, well, I’m going in with not so high expectations.
