How to play GTA V on PC Game Pass
GTA V just hit Xbox Game Pass on PC for the first time. Here’s how to make sure you can play it.

GTA V hit Xbox Game Pass on Cloud, Console, and PC today. The PC version of the game gives you access to both the Legacy and Enhanced versions of the game on PC. Legacy is the original release from 2013 with updates, Enhanced came out recently and looks far better graphically.
To play either game you will need to login to/or create a Rockstar account. Once you have created the account or logged in to your existing one it will ask to permanently attach that account to your Xbox account. You’ll need to make sure it’s the same one that has access to Game Pass for guaranteed access to GTA V’s Microsoft Store build. The game will not sync with your Xbox console saves, though it should sync with any PC Rockstar cloud saves that you have.
Grand Theft Auto V on PC Game Pass is available in its Legacy and Enhanced versions as separate installs, complete with what seems to be their own native Xbox achievement lists.

Lookatthat! You can now top up your Gamerscore three times over if you so please (four if we consider the Xbox 360 release). Note that the Enhanced version is the recently released major update that the game received a few weeks back, which implements ray tracing, DLSS & FSR, and the Xbox Series/PlayStation 5 console exclusive features. You’ll need a beefier PC to run this port, but if you can’t, you can always fall back to the Legacy release of the game—which has been updated for nearly a decade now.
You can read more about the Enhanced update here, but for now, you can access Grand Theft Auto V on Game Pass via the Xbox PC app.
