Another Crab’s Treasure, a pretty fun (and surprisingly challenging!) take on the souls-like formula released last year straight into Xbox Game Pass, and now the developers are back with the reveal of a new update. “Year of the Crab” is coming, and it brings with it a whole host of new content.
Revealed via a trailer seen above, the Another Crab’s Treasure Free Update – “Year of the Crab” is coming to the game, and brings with it a lot more content. The developers have promised a lot, from new costumes for your crab, new game plus for those seeking greater challenge, in addition to new encounters, bosses and a brand new boss rush mode.
There’s also a new bestiary area to explore – think of it like a museum to see all of the massive bosses you’ll take on, and new upgrades with which you can improve your would-be hero’s abilities.

The free update releases on April 21st, 2025.
