Sony just announced in a blog post that a PlayStation 5 price increase in Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand is coming.
PlayStation is a platform Xbox fans are plenty familiar with, as Microsoft’s gaming division starts releasing more of their titles there. If you didn’t already own a PlayStation 5 and live in the United Kingdom, Mainland Europe, Australia, or New Zealand, things are about to get a bit steeper, price-wise.
Here are the price changes coming to the PlayStation 5 digital and Disc hardware in those regions:

| New Zealand | Standard PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – NZD $949.95 PS5 Digital Edition – NZD $859.95 |
Select markets in EMEA not listed above may also receive RRP increases.
It’s not all bad news, the detachable disc drive for the PS5 Slim model is getting a pricing update. Here’s Sony’s statement:
Additionally, the Disc Drive for PS5 will be getting an RRP decrease effective starting April 14, as follows:

PS5 Pro RRPs remain unchanged.
